Persecuted Church

At Exalt we believe that Christians must stand shoulder to shoulder with believers being persecuted for their faith. We are therefore committed to supporting a few specific organizations through this site (including prayer and a percent of our profits) and also encouraging you to think about how you might be able to effect change - with your prayers, your voice and with your giving.

For further information regarding the organizations we are supporting, click on the links below. If you would like more information regarding your own personal giving, or how you might be able to help in other ways, please email us at info@exalt.co.uk.

Christian Solidarity Worldwide

About CSW

Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) is a human rights organisation specialising in religious freedom. CSW works on behalf of those persecuted for their Christian beliefs and promotes religious liberty for all.

How CSW works
Solidarity

Regular fact-finding visits enable CSW to obtain fresh, accurate information, to stand in solidarity with those who are suffering and to tailor practical responses to identified needs. CSW has developed strong relationships with key contacts around the world, who provide regular updates on situations of persecution. Supporters also express solidarity with those who suffer through prayer, equipped with regular bulletins from CSW.

Advocacy

CSW's team of advocates produce regular expert briefings on current situations of persecution. These briefings are used to inform and lobby UK and European Parliamentarians, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and other European Foreign Ministries, the European Commission, the Council of the European Union, the US Administration and the United Nations among others. In this way CSW ensures that the voice of the persecuted reaches key decision makers in the international community.

Campaigning

CSW's supporters are central to CSW's advocacy initiatives, writing to MPs, MEPs, ambassadors and other key officials about specific cases of abuse or injustice. Where a situation demands immediate attention, Urgent Action campaigns are rapidly sent by email to over 2500 supporters who are committed to respond quickly. Where it is safe to do so, supporters write to those who have been unjustly imprisoned, standing in solidarity with them in their hour of need.

Spreading The News

Where appropriate, information that is gathered on fact-finding visits and from CSW's network of contacts around the world is made available to the public and the media, through press releases, radio and TV interviews, press conferences and CSW's Response magazine. CSW's team of speakers travels throughout the UK and beyond, informing and equipping others to pray, protest and provide for the persecuted.

Barnabas Fund

http://www.barnabasfund.org

Barnabas Fund serves the suffering Church and makes their needs known to Christians around the world, encouraging them to pray. It provides practical help to strengthen and encourage the Church in many different ways. Barnabas Fund was established in 1993 and channels aid to projects run by national Christians in more than 40 countries. The problems faced by Christian minorities in some parts of the world range from discrimination to genocide. Even in places that allow worship and evangelism, a convert to Christianity will almost always be rejected by family and community. Whilst many ancient churches are declining because of intense social pressure, new growth is suppressed by the persecution of converts. The recent spread of anti-Christian violence is reducing Christian numbers by the most savage means. Barnabas Fund is a Christian organisation and in accordance with clear Biblical teaching we believe that Christians should treat all people with love and compassion. We believe that even in the face of violence and persecution Christians should turn the other cheek and respond with love to those who persecute them.
